Mlada Khudoley - Live

Mlada Khudoley “Live Performances” captures the scintillating young Russian Soprano live from the world’s most famous Opera Houses. The video clips are unedited, live footage, which makes the viewer feel like a part of the audience. Mlada performs Aida and Don Giovanni from the Mariinsky Theatre; The Flying Dutchman from Teatro, Massimo (Palermo, Italy); The Fiery Angel from New Israeli Opera and Nabucco from Teatr Wielki Warsaw. Mlada is accompanied by the young superstar conductor Maestro Michael Gottlier; the renowned conductor Maestro Jacek Kaspszyk and the omnipotent Maestro Valery Gergiev. Romances for the Harp

Mlada is joined by her talented sister Olessa Khudoley on harp. Olessa is a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory of Music in the class, Vera Dulova. The process of picking ideal music for a dramatic soprano with harp accompaniment is challenging. The Khudoley sisters spent painful hours crafting a program for their debut CD. The results are ethereal and magnificent. Selections include Britten’s Irish folk song arrangement of “The Last Rose of Summer,” along with the famous Irish Ballads “Danny Boy,” and “Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral.” Expanding too the more lyric repertoire, the Khudoley’s perform “Casta Diva” from Bellini’s Norma and Voislava’s aria from Mlada.

Songs and Arias

Mlada Khudoley’s debut recording shines with arias from Aida, Madame Butterfly, Don Giovanni, and La Forza del Destino. Also included are rarely recorded songs by Manuel de Faglia, Gabriel Fauré, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and even a song from her father, Merited Artist of Russia and former professor at the Moscow Conservatory, Igor Khudoley. The disc was recorded live in St. Petersburg, Russia with superb pianist and regular Carnegie Hall recitalist Dmitry Yefimoff.
